Welcome to my AP World Portfolio

About Me

My name is Jocelyn Villalvazo, I enjoy spending time at school in some of my favorite clubs, like ASB and GSA. I've had my older brothers'  encouragement and support through out  the years. Taking AP World History is what he recommended me to do, to prepare me for the next few years of High School.  I didn't expect this class to be easy, and as I suspected, it wasn't. This class required a lot of my time and commitment. However, despite being stressed out most of the year, my over all favorite time period we studied was 1900's to the present, mostly because so many exciting and life changing events occurred, including the Holocaust, both World Wars, and the Cold War.

Purpose

The purpose of this portfolio is to reflect on what this school year was like and what I have learned. By reflecting on my experience and my work, I will understand what I must improve for my next two years in AP classes.

My Poem

Through out the year
I learned to face my fears.
I wrote my first AP Essay
and what can I say?
It was truly one of the hardest things I ever had to do.
Commitment and hard work,
That's what AP is about.
When I fell behind,
I desperately desired to press rewind.
I don't regret taking this class
It opened my eyes to what the next years will be like.
Thank You Mr. Rodriguez for your constant support,
I'm truly going to miss your class.
